Ogden, Utah is a booming metropolis in Weber County along the Wasatch Front in Northern Utah. The 2010 census reported a population of 82,825.
Ogden is named after the Ogden River which is named after a fur trader and explorer for the Hudson Bay Company named Peter Skene Ogden (1790 – 1854). Peter Skene Ogden explored the area from 1828-1829.
The topography of Ogden is noted by Ben Lommond Peak and Mount Ogden which jets to 9,579 feet. Mount Ogden is home to Snowbasin Ski Area.
